Joyfully Connecting Our Community with the Wonder of the Refuge

Nature Ambassadors - Salmon of the Tualatin Basin

  • January 22, 2020
  • 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
  • Sherwood Public Library

Note: This program is not located on the refuge. The program will be at Sherwood Public Library (22560 SW Pine St, Sherwood, OR 97140).

Salmon were once an icon that sustained people all the PNW Coast. Come discover why they are so important to us here in the Tualatin Basin and beyond, why they are declining, and what you can do to help. Learn how to identify the different species of salmon, all about their life cycles, and the new strategies being applied to protect salmon strongholds locally as well as all along the Pacific Rim.
