February Second Saturday Work Party

Join the Friends of Tualatin River NWR for our 2nd Saturday Work Party! We will be improving wildlife habitat by planting native plants around a pond on the Riverboat Unit of the Refuge. This area is normally closed to the public; driving directions and the exact location will be shared with registrants. It is a 20-minute drive from the Refuge Visitor's Center. 

This event will take out of doors, in an uncovered area exposed to the elements. Work will require bending, stooping, and traveling across muddy and uneven surfaces. Long pants and sleeves, warm layers, and rain gear are recommended, along with waterproof boots if you have them. This event will be canceled in the event of hazardous weather or travel conditions. All training, tools, first aid supplies, and light refreshments will be provided.

Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but volunteers under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers under 18 must have a Volunteer Service Agreement signed by a parent or guardian to participate in the event.
